Dream Jar


One great way to increase motivation and reduce anxiety is through cultivating positive imagination. Dream jars are a great way to do this. A dream jar is a place where you can keep your ideas, your dreams, your wishes, your desires. You write one of these things down on a piece of paper and place it in your jar. I recommend taking this jar out and looking at one or two of the ideas at least a couple of times a year. This allows you to see how far you've come or explore the possibility of action. If you have not yet completed it, then you can can place that idea back in the jar. I recommend spending some time maybe once a week writing an idea for your

jar.


The practice of imagining the great possibilities for your life and the things you dream of contributing to the world increases feelings of hope, calm, and purpose. This also helps break anxiety and depression cycles and increase motivation.
