Hi there! My name is Brittany Sanchez-Reed (they/them). I am a social work intern in Olympia, WA.

My approach to therapy is rooted in social work. This means I am committed to providing

compassionate and inclusive care to people of diverse backgrounds. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where you can explore all aspects of your identity, relationships, and experiences. I understand the challenges that arise from navigating the intersections of identities, and I am dedicated to fostering a therapeutic alliance that affirms your whole self. I’m passionate about empowering individuals from marginalized communities, and I strive to

dismantle systemic barriers that impact mental health. I work with adults and teens 16 and up who are navigating life’s complexities, including anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

Anxiety and stress management:

Anxiety can interfere with our lives, and it can be debilitating. Whether you are facing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, or panic attacks, I understand the weight that anxiety can place on your day-to-day life. Through evidence-based techniques and a client-centered approach, we will uncover the root causes, and equip you with practical tools to alleviate stress, restore balance, and promote overall well-being.

Navigating life transitions:

Life is a series of transitions and sometimes we find ourselves feeling uncertain or overwhelmed during these periods of change. Whether you are experiencing a new job, relationship shift, or other major life transition, I’m here to help you through that process. Together, we can explore your goals, tap into your resilience, and create a roadmap to embrace new beginnings and find stability amidst uncertainty.

LGBTQIA+ affirming support:

As a queer, non-binary person, I am keenly aware of the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences that can be part of queer identities. I am passionate about fostering a warm, compassionate environment for you to explore your true self, heal from past wounds, and celebrate the way you move in the world.

Transitional age youth and early adulthood:

Navigating the transition from youth to early adulthood can be overwhelming and full of uncertainty. I specialize in assisting young individuals as they face the myriad of challenges that arise during this pivotal time. Together, we will work on enhancing self-confidence and develop

coping skills to better manage the pressures of school, work, relationships, and personal growth.

It takes courage to seek support, and I commend you for taking this step. I invite you to reach out and schedule a free consultation.

About my credentials:

I am currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work at the University of Washington Tacoma and receive supervision from Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker #LW61407723, Sazi Wald.

As a social work intern, I am continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients. I work closely with experienced professionals and engage in ongoing professional development to provide you with the highest quality of care. Together, we will embark on a journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
