Hi! I’m Amanda Enlow and I use she/her pronouns. I am a clinical social work intern passionate
about helping people embrace themselves and their bodies. I am pursuing my Master of Social
Work at the University of Washington Tacoma and I’m training to provide mental health therapy
under the supervision of Sazi Wald #LW61407723.

I hold a Bachelor in English from Western Washington University, where I developed a deep
appreciation for the power of language and storytelling. My experiences as a childcare provider
instilled in me a strong sense of empathy and patience, allowing me to connect with people
effectively and develop a safe, nonjudgmental space. My longtime work and previous internship
in higher education deepened my appreciation for the challenges of a diverse student body,
allowing me to support students’ academic and personal journeys. In my role as a caregiver, I
learned the importance of compassion, resilience, and advocacy.

I help people navigate mental health challenges with compassion while confronting the societal
norms that influence body image, self-worth, and identity. My approach is grounded in social
justice and intersectional feminism, recognizing the interconnected impact of systems of
oppression on women’s and marginalized individuals’ mental health, particularly in the
experiences of anxiety, depression, and body shame. This perspective allows us to challenge
oppressive standards and cultivate a more empowering narrative around self-worth.
I work with adults of all sizes and identities who are struggling with body image, anxiety, or
other life problems. My style is collaborative, open, authentic, and empathetic. I incorporate
different evidence-based techniques and modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, or mindfulness-based approaches.
